To reserve your place in a class, the class must be paid for.  You may purchase through PayPal, no account is necessary.  Or you can pay by cash, or cheque at Trickett Glass Studio or mail payment to PO Box 200, Thorndale, ON  N0M 2P0.  This payment is non-refundable and ensures commitment to participation.

 

The classes listed below are for adults; however,  there are classes available for kids age 10 and up also. 

 

Stained Glass & Fused Glass Classes Winter/Spring 2012

All Levels Fusing Class (forming glass in the kiln) - Wednesdays in February (1, 8, 15, 22) , 7-9 pm

During this hands-on workshop, you will make a variety of fused projects.  This information packed class is comprehensive, covering many aspects of fused glass.  Whether you are a beginner or an experienced glass worker, you will increase your knowledge and experience.  Projects made one Wednesday will be available to take home on the following Wednesday.  They include a night light, a bowl, traditional glass painting, a picture frame and a platter.  Encourage a friend to join in the fun with you.  Cost is $249 and all materials are included.

 

One Day Beginner Stained Glass Workshop - Saturday, March 10, 2012, 9 am - 5 pm

Introduce yourself to a new craft!  You will learn all the skills to create your own stained glass project using the copper foil technique.  This is an entry level one day workshop.  No prior experience or artistry is required.   Cost is $85.00 plus HST. Materials for the project and the use of the tools are included.  Please bring safety glasses if you have them, suitable shoes for standing and a bag lunch.

Beginner Leading Class - Saturday, April 21, 2012, 9 am - 5 pm

Learn to construct a leaded glass panel using the traditional leading and cementing methods.  No previous experience is necessary but a beginner class first is preferred.  Cost is $90 plus HST.

"Fun With Fusing" Class - Saturday, June 9, 2012, 9 am - 5 pm

Come and learn the basic techniques of fusing.  We will discuss kiln types, glass compatibility, molds, heating schedules and more. In class you’ll make three functional items including a jewelry pendant, a 6 inch tile and a small bowl.  Items will be available to pick up the following week, after they have been fused.  This is an entry level class and no previous experience is necessary although glass cutting would be an asset .  Use of tools and materials, including fusible glass, are included.  You will also take home printed material for your future reference.  Cost is $129 plus HST.
